At the Newburyport Cross-Country 5K, Linsey Cohen ran 20:29 and Marshall McCloskey 35:34.

In the 5M, John Goodwin was 1st senior in 29:57. Don Chapelle ran 31:41, Rich Conrad 32:17 (PR), Tom Kinneman 32:20, Steve Seide 32:33, George Woodward 34:01 (3rd PR of the year for George!), Sue Kiley 34:49, and Jen Popowicz 39:36.
In Lowell at the 5K, Kara Haas was 1st woman in 18:16.
In the 10K, Jay Newton was 4th overall with a 38:51 PR. Gina Newton was 2nd woman with a 42:20 PR.
At the Sandwich 5K, Beth Lindquist was 3rd woman in 19:58.

Dan Vassallo won the Philadelphia Marathon on Nov 21 in 2:21:28. Carol Marshall ran a fine 4:04:31.
In the Half, Kara Haas was 3rd woman and set a master's course record in 1:20:21. Linda Jennings won the senior women's division in a 1:31:03 PR.
At the 30th Annual Slattery's 5 Mile Turkey Trot in Fitchburg on Nov 21, Brian Reeves ran 31:56 and Tim Harris 32:01.
At the Essex 5 Miler on Nov 21, Scott Carrier ran 30:40, Dave Smith 43:41, and Jane Madore 53:39.
Cristina Winsor won the Burbank YMCA 5K Classic in Wakefield on Nov 20. Her 20:13 was good for 13th overall. Dave Smith ran 26:51.
Rich Conrad was 4th in his division with a 19:46 PR at the Lisa's 4th Annual Lung Cancer Awareness 5K in Lowell on Nov 14.
At the 3rd Annual Kingston 5k Turkey Trot on Nov 20, Holly Madden was 2nd woman and 1st master in 19:20.
Erin Flynn was 1st woman and 6th overall in 18:42 at the Norwell Turkey Trot 5K on Nov 14.
Jay Newton broke his 5k PR by 13 seconds at the Camy 5k in Walpole on Nov 13. Jay ran 18:47 (6:04 pace) for 7th overall and 2nd in his age group. Curiously enough, this year Jay also set PRs in the half-marathon (1:29:47) and marathon (3:09:47) -- all by 13 seconds. Yes, it's true. Jay was on Fernando's 13 Second PR Plan. It works.
In her 1st half-marathon, Katrina Gravel won the Maine Coast Half Marathon in York on Nov 7. Over the rolling course, Katrina's time was 1:26:53 (6:38 pace).
Larissa Park was 1st woman at the Luv2Run Boston 5K on Nov 7. Larissa's 18:11 was a PR.
Kara Haas set a new meet record for masters at the USATF New England Cross Country Championships, Franklin Park, on Nov 7. Kara ran 22:11 over the 6k course and was 12th overall.
Caroline Bjune was 1st woman at the 10th (Final) Larry Robinson 10 Miler in Andover on Nov 7. Caroline's time was 1:01:57. Lory Cavanagh was a close 2nd in 1:02:40. Tim Harris ran 1:07:55, Rich Conrad 1:09:06 (PR), and Dan Hill 1:09:45 (PR). Kelly LeCours was 1st master woman in 1:09:58 (PR) and Linda Jennings was 2nd senior in 1:12:03. Alberto Saynes ran 1:18:23, Renee Clark 1:22:38, Ralph Hanseler 1:25:05, Cyndi Springford 1:26:30, Kelly Zeeh 1:28:20, Carol Marshall 1:29:12, and Sharon Yu 1:32:59.
In the 5k, John Goodwin was 1st senior in 18:53.
Holly Madden was 1st woman in 18:50 (and 7th overall) at the 6th Annual 5K Run By the Bay in Duxbury on Nov 7.
Gina Newton ran 3:21:20 at the New York City Marathon on Nov 7. Following her 3:11 on Oct 10 at Mohawk, Gina is awarded the Two Incredible Marathons in Less Than a Month award, with all rights and riches.
At the Manchester City Half Marathon on Nov 7, George Woodward ran 1:39:12.
At the Run for All Ages 5K in Wakefield on Nov 6, Sharon Yu ran 25:51.

What was the top women's team at the Cape Cod Marathon Relay on Oct 31? Five master women who have been or still are coached by Fernando Braz -- Susannah Landreth, Cathy Pearce, Tina Dowling, Sim Piergentili, and Kara Haas. Their time over the rolling marathon course was 2:51:32 (6:33 pace). They were 8th overall, with 182 teams finishing.
At the Marine Corps Marathon on Oct 31, Steve Seide ran 3:14:49, Chris Marshall 3:29:54 (10 minute PR), and Lana Popova 3:52:17.
At the challenging Kingdom Challenge 1/2 Marathon in St Johnsbury (VT) on Oct 30, Jay Newton was 6th overall in 1:29:47.
Tim Harris ran a great 3:13:26 at the Dublin Marathon on Oct 25.
John Goodwin won the Essex Art Center Halloween 5k in Lawrence on Oct 24 in 18:07.
The race organizers at the Mount Desert Island Marathon in Maine describe their course: "We would rate our marathon course as challenging. The terrain is hilly throughout the entire route. Though we don't want to scare any runners off, prepare for a tough run." On Oct 17, three GTDers were not scared off. Pat Fournier set a PR and was 2nd overall in 2:36:12. Nicole Parker ran a great 3:52:35 (an 18 minute PR), and Marianne Lucey enjoyed her 1st marathon in 4:29:19. These are three tough runners.
Bob Wanamaker ran 3:08:42 for 4th in his age group at the Columbus Marathon (Ohio) on Oct 17.
On a very windy day in New Jersey, Cyndi Springford ran a strong 3:48:56 at the Atlantic City Marathon.

at the 14th Annual Lawrence Vietnam Memorial 4 Miler on Oct 17, Sharon Yu was 1st senior woman in 33:29.
At the Tufts 10K in Boston on Oct 11, Lory Cavanagh ran 38:15, Larissa Park 39:36, Holly Madden 39:50, and Karen Durante 44:39
Nate Krah ran 2:23:15 at the Chicago Marathon on Oct 10. This was a PR for Nate of over 2 minutes. Bernie Zelitch broke his goal of 4 with an excellent 3:55.
Dan Frank was 4th overall and 1st senior in 21:34 at the Heritage Days 5K in Southborough on Oct 10.
At the Mohawk Hudson River Marathon on Oct 10, Jay Newton ran 3:09:47 and Gina Newton won her age group in 3:11:40. Dan Hill ran 3:23:05, Chris Chetsas 3:28:34, and Scott Masse 3:38:55.
Kara Haas won the masters title in 1:21:44 at the BAA Half-Marathon on Oct 10. Tina Dowling was 3rd master in 1:27:20. Linda Jennings won her age group in 1:32:02. Linda Ford won her age group in 1:36:40. George Woodward ran 1:37:09, Glenn Simm 1:38:20, Ralph Hanseler 1:50:13.
Caroline Bjune was 1st woman in 29:32 at the 7th Annual Grace Race [5 miles] in Chelmsford on Oct 9.
At the Twin Cities Marathon (Minnesota) on Oct 3, Jon Healey ran 2:29:13 and Chris Healey ran 2:35:13.
At the 2010 USA Masters 5K Championships in Syracuse on Oct 3, Linda Jennings ran a tremendous 20:40 (6:39 pace), which gave her 3rd place in the very competitive 55-59 age division.

At the Maine Marathon in Portland on Oct 3, David Dargie was 4th in his age group with a 3:19:19, and Linda Jowett ran 3:24:32.
Kara Haas was 1st woman in at the 4th Annual Mike Donohue Memorial Road Race in Georgetown on Oct 3. Erin Flynn was next in 18:30. Cristina Winsor ran 20:33, Lauren Bonaccorso 27:39, Mellissa Spurr 33:02, and Jay Lizotte 33:37.
Caroline Bjune was 1st woman in 18:03 at the 18th Annual Trot for Special Tots in Andover on Oct 3. John Goodwin was 1st senior in 18:13, and Linda Ford was 1st master woman in 20:21. Pat Barcellona won her age group in 33:22, breaking 11/mile for the 1st time. Congratulations Pat!
At the USA Triathlon Long Course Nationals on Oct 2, Tom Kinneman was 5th out of 36 finishers in the 55-59 age group to qualify for the ITU Long Course World Championship in Nov 2011 in Nevada.

Linda Jennings 2nd Fastest Senior in US
On June 6th in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Linda Jennings ran 43:02 at the 2010 USA Masters 10 K Championships. Linda's 28 second PR earned her 2nd place in her group -- and ranks her 2nd fastest in the country.

Amy Dalton was 1st Woman at the Fat Ass 50K on Jan 9. Amy turned in a determined and wonderful performance at this 31 mile race put on by GAC at Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield. In snow, ice, sun and mushy conditions, Amy won her first ultra race.
Linda Jennings turned a workout run into a 1:36:28 finish at the Disney Half-Marathon in Orlando on Jan 9. Linda was top senior in this huge field that endured unlikely cold weather and snow. Those -- like Linda -- going to Florida to enjoy a warm run were not overjoyed. They could have stayed home for this. Who knew?
